Some days, I feel like I’ve got my life fairly well together … but most days I do things like, drive the wrong direction down a one-way road.
Today was a “wrong direction down a one-way” kinda day apparently. Whoops.
luckily there weren’t too many cars and I got turned around quickly!
Feeling inspired by the bright blue sky, I tried out a mono-tone sorta outfit today
I wasn’t sure if all the blues were working together at first, but yes I did feel pretty cute in this getup…plus a random guy at Target hit on me so, I guess I didn’t look too bad! *wink
Tank Top Loft extra small (tjmaxx clearance)
Button-up Tasha Polizzi for T.P. Saddleblanket CO small (garage sale)
Jeans Old Navy 4petite o.g. high rise straight (thrifted)
Today I found myself with zero motivation to get put together. I I just wasn’t having it.
I did manage to get a bunch of errands done, and had some spare time to putz around in TJmaxx.
While it’s true that I try to only buy second hand/thrifted clothes, I do occasionally buy new clothes if they’re discounted. So I always check the clearance racks.
I tried on some khakis and a white tank top, both were not winners for me. But good opportunity to take an outfit selfie!
……don’t judge my sloppy hair mmmkay?!
Cardigan – Shein small (thrifted)
Tank top – Apt. 9 petite small(kohls, discounted)
Joggers – Rachel Zoe small (Tjmaxx, discounted)
Shoes – Dr. Scholls time off size 8 (ebay)
The Shein cardigan…trust me, I know. I don’t like Shein either. And lately I’m finding their clothes at all the thrifty stores. I try to not buy as much as possible, but this cardigan was thrifted for $2 and I’ve enjoyed wearing it these past few months! However it’s probably time to pass it on to the next owner.
The tank top, I purchased with discount thinking I was investing in a petite sized tank top for spring and summer. It’s been washed once and already looks stretched out and pilly and thin. Big learning lesson!
The joggers were a splurge, I bought them to wear at the airport last month, and it was $20 well spent…they do kind of have a strange smell though. I’m also not convinced they’ll hold up for 20 or more wears but, maybe I’ll be surprised. *fingers crossed*
And lastly, these Dr. Scholls shoes. So cute, so comfy.
BUT they attract dirt and stains like a magnet. Would NOT recommend!! However, I spent $30 on them and I’m determined to get my money’s worth. Even if that means scrubbing with a magic eraser after every wear.
All in all, the outfit is cute and working ok, but the pieces individually would not be worth repurchasing.
